The Infopool is Prostate Cancer Research’s new patient information and education platform. It has been developed by, with and for patients to address the unmet needs and challenges of the prostate cancer patient community as well as their carers and family members.

What is The Infopool?

We hope The Infopool provides you – patient, carer or family member – with some useful and interesting information as well as an opportunity to help shape the latest prostate cancer research and developments and to ensure your voice is heard and magnified.

Why did we create The Infopool?

In 2019/20 we conducted a number of patient conversations and surveys as well as an in-depth online patient study. You told us the importance of:

  • providing clear and concise information, driven by patient experiences
  • feelings of empowerment
  • enabling a greater connection between patients

The Infopool has been created to try to address your needs.

However, The Infopool is a project in development. We will continue to revise and improve how it works, what information is available and how it is presented. If you have any thoughts or feedback on the website please do get in touch. Our contact details can be found here.

Who has The Infopool been created by?

The Infopool has been co-created by patients – our amazing Patient Advisory Board – our brilliant Clinical Advisory Board and the team at Prostate Cancer Research. Prostate Cancer Research is a medical research charity dedicated to funding research that matters to patients. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful members of our Patient Advisory Board and Clinical Advisory Board for all their hard work, support, guidance and dedication in helping bring The Infopool project to light.

Patient Advisory Board

The Infopool’s Patient Advisory Board is made up of people directly affected by prostate cancer – patients and those closest to them.

We are proud that The Infopool’s Patient Advisory Board is truly representative and reflects the demographics not only of the country but also of those affected by prostate cancer.

We are always looking for more people to get involved. Anyone affected by prostate cancer is welcome to join! If you are interested in doing so please contact us at to find out more.
